Floor Standing 44,000 BTU propane heaters are ideal for warming bigger areas. Putting out over 44000BTU’s of radiant heat, these patio heaters can warm an area of up to 175 square feet.
Most have solid state push button ignition systems that do not need batteries or any sort of external power and a simple dial to set your heat level. They are durable and available in several finishes. The safety aspect is covered with an anti-tilt shut off valve and in many models the propane tank is concealed neatly inside the steel base so is out of the way. Wheels are usually a standard feature to make it easy to move.
Portable Outdoor Tabletop 11,000 BTU Gas Heaters
Tabletop gas heaters usually produce around 11000 BTU’s of radiant heat and are capable of heating a 10 foot diameter area which equates to around 32 square feet. These are ideally suited for use on a table top where it’s not as important to heat a large area.
Many features available on these gas heaters are oxygen depletion sensors (these turn the heater off if the level of oxygen reaches a certain level), safety tilt switches and push button ignition. The gas tank is usually placed under the table.
Tank-Top 8000-42000 BTU Propane Heaters
Tank Top propane heaters are used when aesthetics is not a high priority. The heaters come with single, double or triple burners. The double and triple burners can operate with 1, 2 or 3 burners (in the case of a 3 burner unit) at a time. The burner units screw directly onto the top of the gas cylinder. They are strictly not for use in enclosed areas. Most have anti tilt shut off valves and automatically shut off if the flame is lost.
